My aunt owns a couple of apartment buildings (small ones). Recently, one of the tenants boyfriend was killed. Because his family couldn't afford the a funeral, she paid for it, on the understanding that they'd be paying her back over time. Well, they've really not been able get her much money back, and as a result she's been having trouble paying the rent. She works at Wawa and they just paid two months of her rent out of their employee charity.
