Selling at cons: advice?

I know there are a fair few con attendees and vendors in our crowd, and I could use some help.

Really, it's more about getting the damn stuff TO the con. I've made a bunch of rag dolls for a pony con, and it looks like it'll be pretty expensive to ship them there. I wanted to avoid checking a bag with all my wares in it, but it looks like that may be the better option.

Advice?

37 rag doll ponies. Not really something you can stuff in a bag the size of a carryon. My most pricey ones will be, of course, but I need to transport the others en masse.
