There was a local beekeeper who had his business listed in the phone book.. problem? It was my parents' unlisted number! The poor sap didn't know about the mistake and couldn't figure out why the phone book ad wasn't drawing in the money. Mom called him and politely let him know after she did some research into an OLDER phone book that had the correct number. Turns out it wasn't his fault at all, but the person he took the ad with swapped the last two numbers around.
Mom was getting sick of getting calls for honey, though. I think one of them must have gotten rude with her, because I heard the dreaded, "The only one allowed to call me Honey is my husband and you don't sound anything like him!"
