  • McDonalds in the Netherlands loses case.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8481827.stm

Basically, they had to pay because they fired a worker over a slice of cheese.

A co-worker purchased a hamburger, paid for it, then asked for a slice of cheese - which the worker added, but didn't charge for.

The court ruled in the favor of the fired worker.

I dunno. Guess the Netherlands are more employee-friendly that the states.

I know that here, cheeseburgers cost more than hamburgers, and you probably can't just order "a hamburger with cheese" for the hamburger price.

But it's such a small difference it isn't worth firing unless the employee's doing it all the time.

i agree... a warning would have been more appropriate

makes me wonder if maybe they had prior issues - whether professional or personal - with the worker

no try having someone order a cheeseburger hold the cheese (a hamburger) or a Supream pizza no mushrooms, onions, green peppers, or sausage (just a pepperonia pizza that costs way more)

If they ask for a Happy Meal with extra Happy, tell them that there's no Yeerk pool there, they'll have to try another one.

Considering some of the tales I read on here, yes.

I do that all the time!

The #2 meal is 2 cheeseburgers, but I get them with no cheese

The Happy MEal with Extra happy quote is from the book. The "hold the cheese" quote is from the TV show if anyone cares.
