Why arn't the movie prices on the website?

I decided to go see a movie. There are two diff. movie theaters by my home. I go to their website and none tell my the prices. Now in theater A, I remember that before noon it's one price, before 4pm it's another price, after 4 is a diff. price.
For theater B, I went to a sister theater that showed priced before 4pm is cheaper. NOthing about prices on site A. Site B says, "Our ticket prices are comparable to other theaters." I know I couldn't make the before noon showing at theater A. So I call theater B. The phone is no longer working.

Not that I expect anyone to answer why the prices aren't listed online (ok, if you know I would like to know) but I just need to rant. I hate to drive all the way to a random theater, not knowing if it's cheaper or more expensive then another one.

Aww not sure what to advise. All cinema sites in my area list the rates :/

Most of the time they're pretty close unless it's an advertised special. I'm willing to pay more rather than drive longer (unless it's half price day).

the only thing i can suggest is trying to see if they're available online, like on Fandango or something like that.

although... ok this is weird. i ran a local check and the twilight tickets are cheaper for adults than child tickets for the 4pm showing. that has to be a typo.

Do they have online ticket purchasing? Some places only list the price partway through checkout.

could be. when i checked fandango i had to select the movie & time before it would show me any prices.
