Today marked week two of our liquidation sale. I swear the last week has been insane. I got the fun of being a cashier again yesterday. I think I had lines from the time I opened my register to the time I closed it. That was true for all the registers.
A lot of the customers have been expressing sympathy over the fact we're closing. Most of these being people I've never seen before. (After over two years, I know most of the regulars.)
Apparently, they're expecting it to get even crazier. Today, we got a bunch of shopping carts from the store they recently shut down. We already have people from other stores helping out up front.
And all of this craziness is from a 10% price reduction in groceries.
