Leonard Lee, the founder of Canadian specialty woodworking supply company Lee Valley Tools, has died. According to a newspaper story, his company was "employee friendly" - with a very flat payscale (10:1 ratio between highest and lowest pay), and when they acquired a new building some years back, the area with the best view was used as the cafteria so that everyone would have access.
