      It's not like they just made it up. Corporations have been telling it to them all their lives. The "have it your way" mentality that basically takes the advertising approach of: "Hey! Want to be a jerk to people and not feel bad about it? Come to our store! Where ethics don't matter, because we aren't really people!"

        That isn't what the customer is always right means. It meant (using the example my economics teacher used) that when a customer came in to buy a cheap bracelet the clerk didn't try pushing a more expensive bracelet instead.
