  • Differing points of view...

This came from one of my workshops, but links back to another one.

During my workshop, my tutor wanted to show us a "how not to do a lesson" video about specific concepts relating to teaching. At the end of the video, two of my classmates really let er rip about said video. Why?

Because the previous week, our science classes had ALSO used this video, but more as a "how you should probe for students knowledge" thing...in other words a positive thing. My class got it from the negative point, but my classmates who had the same workshop earlier in the week had it as the positive one.

Needless to say, my tutor had a huge moment. She then asked us if the head of our topic happened to be this certain person and we responded with a solid "yep".
Said person in question also has this annoying habit of talking DOWN to us, to the point where I am almost planning on lodging a complaint with someone. I'll put up one of my lectures if I can.
