Just don't slip and sing the new words in church... at least, not accidentally.

(I used to give my mother the giggles in church by singing the hymn words in reverse order)

Well, I think this (S*P: "In Jesus Name" Storyline) relates to what you're going through.

Hope everything works out for you.

You mean with Pastor Ray Stevens? It's my understanding that his service at the Shriner's Convention was also noteworthy.

I suggest moving on. It isn't worth the headache, and it's definitely not worth the crying. There are other churches out there.

I can completely sympathize. I left my church of 8 years this past spring over something I believed the priest to have been unethical in doing. I didn't want to leave as I dearly loved the people at the church and had been very involved. Like you I sang in the choir. I also taught children's Sunday school, organized the food for many events, and was a member of a lay holy order. But the priest's actions left me feeling like I had no choice. I had intended to begin attending another church of the same denomination one town over but never had the heart for it. Since then, I'd been experiencing a "dark night of the soul" and through all of it have really clarified my personal faith. It's been quite a journey.

Listen to your heart and to your soul. Together, they will lead you in the right direction, whatever that may be.

Pastor Stevens has several inspiring sermons:

                  Would Jesus Wear A Rolex

If 10% Is Good Enough For Jesus

                  Turn Your Radio On

                  And my favorite:

Sunday Morning Coming Down - Ray Stevens was to first to record this one.

I was just joking. I figured that since he had conducted the Mississippi Squirrel Revival, it was an appropriate title for him.

Oh yes. Long ago. Probably time to get back to my roots.

Ouch. I'm so sorry. I can only imagine if I'd poured 8 years instead of 2 into this place.
