  • I drove miles and miles….

Well, folks, I'm currently working in the contact (re: call) center for a chain of retail stores (sorry, employer doesn't want us to be more specific about it.). One type of call that I'm sure other folks in similar positions get is the one where someone has traveled quite a distances to go to one of the stores for a great deal, but now there is an issue and they want to return or exchange the purchase. Yet, they seem surprised that they will need to go back to the store to do it. "I drove for over (insert long, or at least what they consider long, time here) already! Why do I have to come back?" Sigh, I know, I shouldn't expect some folks to have the common sense to realize that, if something goes wrong, they aren't going to necessarily get it taken care of over the phone. I mean, we might just want to look over the item before we authorize a return or exchange...

This is why the internet exists lol. We've got one of any given store and it's a 6 hour drive to another city
