When I turned the wrong way down a one-way street, I was in the States.

The US 'One Way' signs look different from ours.
And I was struggling with snow driving for the first time.
And driving on the 'wrong' side of the street (we drive on the left).
    And in an unfamiliar car.

    So I kinda forgive myself.
    Seshat's self-help guide:
    1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
    2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
    3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
    4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

While going to get my brother from College my dad turned down the wrong way on a one way street (his first time in the city), and as soon as he realized it he turned off... and was going the wrong way on another one way street.
My youngest sister did that while we were driving around Wilmington a few years back. She figured it out pretty quickly, especially with me in the back seat trying to hide and her GF up front freaking out and managed to get off the road at first opportunity and get turned around.

I've rode with her (my sis) since and she hasn't pulled any more of those stunts. I think that one may have been a fluke.
