Yes prjkt that's exactly what helps out, calibrating all screens with a calibration tool.
When I edit my pictures on my way with my Notebook, I assure to review them at home with my external display plugged. Thanks to calibration the screens look equal.
Also, I calibrate with the ambient light compensation of my calibration tool and assure that the light conditions in my studio where I edit are always the same, by darkening the room when editing through the day. I even prefer to edit in the evening or at night. ;-)
