My job asked me to get an answers.com account, put the company's web site in the profile, and answer technical questions. Because I learned computers on my own and then spent 10 years doing tech support I'm good at explaining technology to the technically challenged. I enjoy this part of my job, and the more questions I answer the more "Trust Points" I get. I admit it I get excited when I see the number go up.
Admittedly there were a couple hiccups, like figuring out how to add links without my posts getting flagged, but I figured it out and I'm actually having fun.
I mean how often do I get to explain what a RAID Array is/does?
