I don't know why young girls are so anxious to get their periods.
Other than the fact that I wasn't able to have all of the children I had wanted, I was never so happy as I was to hit menopause in my 30's, since I started at 11.
It's a pain, literally.Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.Comment

You know, when my mother had to have a hysterectomy (at age 45) they actually offered her counselling? That's right. It was thought she might need professional help to come to terms with not having periods any more.
She fixed the consultant with a withering stare (she's good at that) and said 'Only a man could have thought that up. Only someone who's never had a period, could think that a woman could possibly grieve for that monthly misery'.Engaged to the sweet Mytical
