Today I was working in the field with one of my coworkers..As we are waiting at a light on a main road and a cross street, a city fire truck comes up from behind us, lights and sirens a blazing, turns right at the light and starts going up the crossroad. Just as it turns we heard a loud 'clank',and my coworker said 'Crap,the fire truck just dropped it's hose'.
I look up,and see a car in front of us drive around a big ass bright yellow firehose laying in the road. My coworker rolls up to the hose, stops our work truck, and flips on our little yellow flashing light, so we can get out to move the hose of the road. As we are out, a unmarked detective's car behind us hits their siren (and scares the crap out of us) then they realize what we are doing, and get out to help. By the time we got the hose off the road, the fire truck swings back and collects it from us, with couple embarrassed 'thank yous' from the driver and the fire woman riding in the truck behind the driver.
