  • When work and movies align

So, at work the other day, a coworker asked our supervisor for the code to the display safes.

    The answer? 1-2-3-4-5

And yes, my supervisor and I both ended up thinking of the scene

    Anybody have similar moments?

    I love Mel Brooks movies.

Spaceballs is a classic, just below Princess Bride on my list.

Excuse me, I have to change the combination on my luggage.

What? You don't play with flamethrowers on the weekends? You are strange.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to change some combinations.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Every so often when I'm watching SCO, I'll stand by the doors as it's easier for me to see all the units at once. This can result in "Are you the Gatekeeper?" exchanges.

The code to one door at work is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8. The voice mail code used to be 1-1-1-1-1.
