I've heard of holiday creep, but this is ridiculous.
At the petrol station I work at, the Cadbury's Creme eggs went on display a couple of days before Christmas. They'd been in the stockroom about three weeks by then. Haven't seen anyone buy any, but I work nights so don't see many customers!
