I feel so prettyful
We're getting slammed in the busy season now. We had a total of 6 FD (front desk) employees including myself. 2 are out sick, 1 quit, 1 is on vacation. The only ones left are myself and a part time worker. And the manager.
I've been pulling double shifts, day and night, and feeling so stressed that I can't even sleep right. Last night, I went to work with my hair stringy and no makeup, and very very tired. Sigh.
This woman who I've seen staying at the desk comes up and ask, "Excuse me, I don't mean to be offensive..."
I said yes?
"But what race are you?"
I told her.
"Oh, I asked cuz you're beautiful. I mean, I'm not gay or anything but you are!"
"Why thank you!" And I smiled the first genuine smile in weeks.
Funny how such a small compliment can really help! A LOT. ^________^
