Well, one game he did, anyway...
My first game I shot a 201.
My third game, though, I shot a 133.
We had the bumpers up for my kiddo (He's 10, and very new to bowling), and his third game last night he bowled a bumper-assisted 147. He even ended up with a "turkey" (three strikes in a row).
It actually came down to the 10th frame, too. I needed a mark (strike or spare) and then pick up a few pins to "win" (though we really weren't competing).
Well, first ball I knocked down 9...all I needed was a spare conversion and to pick up about 5 pins on the last ball...
I whiffed on the spare. I couldn't believe it.
So, to model good behavior, I shook his hand, and told him congratulations on the game.
My wife thought we should celebrate, so we got ice cream afterward.
