So we have a VIP arriving tomorrow and the boss wanted to order sparkling wine for the room. So I filled out our amenity form to have the wine delivered at 4pm on Saturday, June 6th. I dropped it off at the kitchen in front of Kitchen Guy on my way to the breakroom for dinner (at 8pmish).
Cue an angry Kitchen Guy stalking me into the breakroom waving the amenity form.
Kitchen Guy: "We need to talk about this!"
Me: "Okay?"
Kitchen Guy: *holding up the form in front of my face* "What time is on here?"
Me: "4pm."
Kitchen Guy: "And what date is on here?"
Me: "Saturday the 6th."
Kitchen Guy: "Exactly. See the problem? That's for today!"
Me: "Uh...." *does a mental double-check* "No, today is Friday the 5th."
Kitchen Guy: "No it's....wait, is it?"
Me: "Today is Friday. We're having the Friday Night BBQ out on the lawn right now that you just cooked a ton of food for. Tomorrow is Saturday."
Kitchen Guy: *light bulb goes off when I mention the weekly Friday night event that everyone comes to eat at* "Oh, you're right. I can't believe I've been going all day thinking it was Saturday!"
Everyone else in the breakroom:
