I'm going to call it right now. If any person who does something stupid in the roadway as a pedestrian that could get them hit by a car accidentally, I will call them Flattillas. Named after Almos Flattilla, the fictional character in the Customer Complaint Letter Game, who was inspired by this guy.
Why do I bring this up? I was driving in Downtown Austin, TX, when this group of Flattillas decide the best place to congregate is in the middle of a crosswalk in the middle of a busy city street. Why they didn't use the sidewalk, or a lobby, or literally anywhere else to congregate is beyond me. I know the unofficial motto is "Keep Austin Weird," but those Flattillas should try to keep themselves alive first.
