    So whilst looking through the Katniss Everdeen article in Wikipedia,I found that katniss(the plant)actually exists and it appears you can make crisps(chips) out of it. No idea where on earth actually sells them,but it may be possible to make your own-it seems the plants pop up in Asian food stores now and then,but as they have dozens of different names it may be difficult to get hold of.
    Any one ever seen these or know where to track them down?

    Yep, katniss is essentially a "water potato". It grows near some lakes.

    In the books, her father named her that and said "As long as you can find yourself, you will never go hungry."
