  • The formula for a "hit" country song...

    This guy did a mashup of some popular country songs...

    It's like 1 song was re-done as 6.

    They sound so close together in tempo, rhythm, chord structure, beat, and so forth it's almost like it's manufactured, or something.

    Pop country...

    But apparently, the "formula" works...

    Might work for pop country, but for REAL country they're missing a lot. Referring to the list in David Allen Coe's "You Don't Call Me Darling", they've touched on pickup trucks and getting drunk, but completely missed mama, trains, and prison.

        Beat me too it, i was going to try to find this based on the lyrics as i couldn't recall the title. Yep, this ( https://youtu.be/Sco_eBvXGTQ ) is a great classic.

            When I think of "real" country, I think of people like Hank Williams, Sr., Johnny Cash, George Jones, and the like.
