    A few years ago my state passed a law banning smoking in bars, restaurants, hotel rooms and almost everywhere else except private homes and cars.
    Not only is smoking banned in "bars, restaurants, hotel rooms and almost everywhere else" in our state, you may not smoke in cars, either, if you're carrying any passengers 16 or younger
