I found a story on Not Always Working about a receptionist who keeps calling the same wrong number. It reminded me of a similar situation at my home.

One time, I kept getting someone calling my number. Whoever did this immediately hung up every time I picked up. About the tenth time in a month, I finally had enough of this. I must admit that I have a low, booming voice. I called the number back and yelled at the person on the other end. When I asked why he was calling my number, he said that he had misdialed.

His number came up on my Caller ID since.

One time my husband answered a number he didn't know and this guys said, "I'm going to stab you in the ass, Kyle. In the ASS. Hehehehehe." and hung up.

I suggested we Google the number and find out what city it was from so we could alert the police in case someone named Kyle ended up in the ER with stab wounds to his ass, then they'd have a suspect. Sadly, he never did.
