    One option is to buy a bathtub that is very deep rather than very long. Every extra inch of depth is potentially two or three extra inches of height accommodated in the occupant.

    The modern trend is for shallow bathtubs, supposedly as a water-saving measure. Conversely, Japanese baths are deep to reduce the floor space they occupy; they save water and heating power by reusing it (see the note about cleanliness above).

      When I still belonged to a gym, I'd always finish things off with the hot tub and sauna. Mostly to relax my muscles, but also because the sauna helped drain all the nasties (stupid sinuses) out.
