  • So...what's your job title?

I figured we could use this thread as somewhat of a directory for everybody to get an idea of who everyone else is and what they do as a job. This is aimed especially for the lurkers who aren't real addicts to the site...not yet at least!

I think this may be helpful since so many times we'll create a thread about a Sucky Customer or the like, and tell a story without first establishing what we do as a job, or career. It will make stories easier to understand if we all know what each other does beforehand!

You can also post your name or other interesting things about you. I guess i'll start!

I'm Chris, 17 years old, and work as a crew member for Wendy's fast-food

warehouse supervisor in a hardware store is my official title, but I also wear the hat of troubleshooter and inventory control and tech support and advice giver and 'the one who will do it if nobody else can figure it out or nobody else wants to do it'

I also used to work at a couple of grocery stores.
I was a cashier and also a deli manager there.

Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

            Retired

But before the retirement, manager for software design and lead programmers. I still don't know which are most SC folks who are talk about here or the folks I had to deal with for months while their software was being designed and created.
I've lost my mind ages ago. If you find it, please hide it.

My stories are mostly about my days as a Kinko's employee. I worked there on two separate gigs, one about 8 years ago as a color and specialty person (color copies, t-shirts, oversize color, coffee mugs, mounts and lamination, etc) and then again about a year ago as a cashier/order-taker.

I also post stories about being:

A waitress at the Olive Garden
A master control operator/studio camera operator at WOLO TV25
A studio crew member and sometime production coordinator in public television
              a zoo employee
              a photo lab technician

Right now I have a nice graphic design job with NO CUSTOMERS! But I have paid my dues, believe me.

depends on the position I'm on at the time. Usher, projectionist, concession/box office attendent. My favourite is projectionist, because I get to stay away from all the customers, and work mostly on my own pace (Except for starting the shows on time ).
