Quoth Part-Time Parrothead
I'm getting a new phone this afternoon, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to (or if it is possible) transfer my ringtones from my current phone to my new one.
thanks in advance!
ETA: I have Verizon, if that changes anything.

Used to work for verizon-about the olny way would be to try and make sure they are on your computer(when you buy some ringtones/vcast music you get a copy for your computer)-otherwise you will have to redownload and pay for them again-even though the salesperson will tell you to "just go ahead and redownload them and you'll get credit" (Hint salespeople lie to make the sale-they get commission for contract renewals, around $5 per contract, CS doesn't, and the sales person will claim they never told you that, and CS WILL NOT CREDIT YOU)-I don't know how many times I had to explain to people that the only way they credit for redownloads is for a warranty swap-which is in the terms and conditions. Also unless you are doing a NE2 upgrade there is a $20 charge for the ESN change they won't tell you about-you are better off ordering online and dialing the 1-800# to activate your phone-then the $20 charge is waived, but if the store or customer service does it $20 charge.
Any other questions feel free to PM me-I was a call center supervisor for VZW.
