Default I caught a fish! (287 KB of pics Dial Up users beware??)

Last week, *Company* took management on a teambuilding thingamy. We went out on a catamaran, and did deep sea fishing. And yes, I caught a fish! (Well, two, but one was undersized...). A Red Roman! Reeling up a fish through 70+ metres of water is more work that you think it would be

AND we saw whales! A mom and her calf. They ended up circling us and almost chasing us, causing the captain to panic and get out of there. Very awesome.
ETA : We didn't have a zoom on the camera. At one point the whales were roughly 20 metres away from the boat. HOW COOL!

That is incredibly cool! I'd love to see whales, though I imagine it was a little tense when they were that close.

I've never heard of a Red Roman, are they tasty? That's a nice-sized fish. Good catch!

I'm constantly amazed how, if you don't see the tail, pictures of whales in the water generally look like rocks surfacing.

But that is one cool fish! Is purdy.

Cool! I have always wanted to go deep sea fishing. Looks like great fun (if you like to fish, which I do.)

Great job...hope you had a lot of fun and hope you go out to do it again, perhaps with the tall one...i went deep sea fishing once and well, lets put it this way, i did a better job baiting the fish than I actually did catching the fish.

Fishing is fun, just I prefer to be on dry land!
