Spore?

Is anyone else playing Spore, and can give me some hints on how to get past the creature stage?? IT BORING!

Either go round killing everything or try to make friends by singing etc.

easiest way is to just kill over and over

yeah, that's the easiest way if you want to play military in the civilization stage... if you want economic make friends with everyone and if you want religious do half and half... same things goes for tribal stage, kill everyone = military, ally everyone =economic and half and half = religious.

yes, I have played through Spore a few too many times.

As soon as you can add someone to your pack, do so, and try and diversify (i.e. outside your group.) Personally, I've stopped playing it. It's boring no matter what stage.

yes, I have played through Spore a few too many times.

And yet you goofed. It's military = attack everything, religious = befriend evrything, economic = half and half.

A few solid pieces of advice I can offer:

1) Evolve constantly. The creatures move up pretty quick in difficulty, especially the social ones.
2) Charm the Alphas. These always will give you a functional part, so always go for these first.
3) Stack the odds in your favor. Ally with as many creatures that are beneficial to your approach as possible and isolate your target. The number of creatures involved is relevant to the likelihood of success. For example, trying to charm 3+ social creatures by yourself just doesn't happen. While charming a lone one with 2-3 social allies can become instantaneous.

oops well, I normally play military on my recent games which is why I got the other two mixed up.

Just a point of note: Epics are really %$^$% hard to kill, though I managed it Lured him back to my nest, all the family attacking him even though he killed me 4 or 5 times (he ignored everyone else)

especially Epic Badass... if you ever run into that or just the normal Badass and it ends up killing you, you have my condolences, even though I have no idea who could have created it
and yes, I have been killed by my own creation before, it sucked.
