Playing supervisor
For those who are unfamiliar, my store has a liquor section attached to it that has its own storefront, registers, phone line and PA line, but everything else goes through us. Several of the front end employees are liquor trained, so they can cover the department in an emergency. One of these is my supervisor on Wednesday nights.
Last night, she had to go over and cover the person working liquor so he could go to the loo (no, we cannot close liquor for five minutes so said person can go pee) and because I was the only 18-year-old on the checkouts at the time...well, that she knew of anyway, I got to hang around the smokeshop counter and be a supervisor for a few minutes
Unfortunately at that moment, we got busy
