*sigh* another day in Hell.. well.. night really.. so there I was taking orders in our drive thru when this lovely young man came through..
Me: Hi what can I get for you tonight?
SC: how much are your ice cream cones?
Me: I think they are around $2.00
SC: Give me one! (ever so polite aren't we)
Me: *types it in* So that comes to $1.46 please
SC: I thought you said it was 2.00
Me: That was just a ballpark figure, our prices changed recently and I wasn't exactly sure
SC: Well you should be! How long have you worked here?
Me: a couple years or so (*sigh* going on 3 really..)
SC: Well when I worked at *competition* I ALWAYS knew the price of everything!!!!eleventy11!!!!!
Me: *flat stare* congratulations....
SC: I'm just telling you that maybe you should pay more attention to your menu prices
Me: *more flat stare, this time with a dead tone* I'll get right on that sir
SC: You're an a**hole ( sc drives off around the corner as I mutter to myself "why yes, yes I am)

Sometimes I really wonder if manners are some sort of shunned thing in this town, as very few people seem to have them

There's a way to try to correct actions or bring up a point. Calling someone out on being rude while being rude yourself just ruins any point you were going to attempt to make.

People are dumb.

I would probably have added "But if you feel so adamant on paying the $.54, you are sure welcome to do so."

Geeze. Complaining when they're told something is cheaper than what they first thought? What the hell is wrong with them there people ?

I guess I should've mentioned that I'm NOT an a**hole to customers ... it's just that telling me how to do my job is one of my biggest pet peeves and ...well.... maybe one day there will be 2 crazy ladies running around town writing please and thank you's on people lol
