  • Fun with accents

I have a friend who is an English expatriate. He told me a story about live (this is important) radio broadcast interviewing a pilot from the Battle of Britain. He kept making references to the "focker". The "focker" went this way. The "focker" went up. Finally, the interviewer decided to clarify:

Interviewer: We would like to remind our audience that "Focker" was a type of plane flown by the Germans in the Battle.

Pilot: Yeah, but this focker was a Messerschmidt!
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

Heard it before, I also can't help reminding people that it's actually spelt Fokker (for the WW1 Aircraft) and the aircraft in WW2 was a Focke-Wulf.

Also it's funny if you speak the lines in Ducth accent
