Smile A nice place I heard of

Hey everyone. As the name suggests, I am an employee of Office Max...That wonderful office supply store that everyone mistakens for Office Depot. I live in hot as balls Florida and this site spoke to me. It said: "Don't feel bad, it's not you. It's humanity." I graduated from high school in June this year and this was my first real job. I was ecstatic at first and eager to please. Soon I found out that being good at my job could be one of the gravest errors. They depend on me for EVERYTHING, hold me to higher standards than my co-workers, and come down just as hard on me if I'm not capable of putting a gun to a customer's head in hopes of forcing a Max Insurance down their throats. To top it all, the Customer Service desk is my personal Hell in which I distribute inks to the ignorant masses who happen to own printers that they obviously haven't looked at since they purchased them, listen to complaints about how we never have sale items in stock, and deal with returns that are way beyond the return policy. Not to mention all the bloody Canadians with they're penny-pinching ways and "I'm better than you are, oh lowly customer service girl." attitudes. Did I miss something?

Oh yes, I'm a sweet girl...When I want to be. I'm just naturally sarcastic. It takes a certain kind of person to understand my manner of thinking and speaking. Which is why my co-workers find me strange.

Anywho, I'm happy to be here. I have quite a few tales to tell . ^_^

Welcome aboard. I want to assure you that not all Canadians are penny pinchers. In fact I've never tried to pinch a penny, but I did try to scrape a beaver off a nickle once. I was very dunk, really...I was...it's true.

Sadly it seems to be that for some reason the worst of the worst are attracted to your fair state. And although it saddens me that these asshats are mis-representing what we Canadians are really like, I still can't help but think "better you than me" as far as having to deal with them.

You could try tying a bag of Loonies too them and pushing them into the Gulf.

*for those of you unfamiliar with Canadian currency I appologize if it seemed as if I were speaking some kind of code

Well hi there. I too work in Florida, but in Lake Worth, not "Hot As Balls". That's a little more south of me, lol. Wow, such a bad joke. Anyways, I was just curious whereabouts, not like I'm tryin to stalk you or something, by the way, just curious. And I look forward to comparing Canadian stories. I have one posted with more to come.

I work in Hollywood. ^_^ We really should swap Canadian stories. I also have a few about people from the Bahamas. They bloody migrate over here every year just for school supplies. O.o

Heh, working where I do, there's a large Finnish community believe it or not. And tomorrow, I'll have time to post my "nail battery" story....it's sure to kill....with pure mindnumbing idiocy.

Hey there, OfficeMaxChick9.
Even though I'm a Canadian, and you appear to have focussed on the evils of Canadians in your posts, I still want to you to CS and assure you that the majority of Canadian members here aren't any worse than the other few hundred members from other countries.

It's been a while since you've been active.

I hope you will have some non-discriminatory stories to share again, soon.
