  • Game/puzzle help

    My family is doing a word puzzle (not sure what they're called) and have run across one we can't figure out.

    Here are a couple of examples so you can see what I'm talking about:

    stand
    I
    = I understand

    man
    board = man overboard

    Now here's the one we can't figure:

    i i
    oo
    oo
    oo
    oo (we're not sure if it's zeros or Os either)

    Help please

    undereye circles?

    I believe they are called Frame Games. I do them in the USA Weekend magazine in the Sunday paper.

      That's a "Whatzit" or "Dingbat" puzzle.

      What about "circles under the eyes" as an answer?

      *Whoops...I must have had my reply open at the same time as BSE, but she got in first.
      Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

        "circles under the eyes" sounds good to me. I think we have 'Whatzit' in our game closet. Haven't played it in years, though.
