You know how you shoot yourself in the foot sometimes?

If one day they decided they couldn't work around me anymore, or had to eliminate an employee and it was between me and an open available guy it makes perfect sense to get rid of me.

I was coming back from lunch on Saturday and walked past the store manager. I stopped and said hi, he asked if he could speak to me for a minute.

They want to hire me on as permanent part time (I'm seasonal right now), but because my availability is limited and they already have two nights and weekends permanent guys they're moving me to receiving.

Pros:
More money
Guaranteed 16-20 hours regardless of season
No/limited customer interaction
No weekends

Cons:
Every night 6-10 PM Sun-Thursday

So instead of 2 nights a week and once a weekend I have to go out there every night.

Obviously the pros outweigh the cons so I accepted, but I have to talk to HR Tuesday before it's official/I accept it officially.
