I hate winter and cold, but this isn't much better. It's either hot and humid wet and rainy all the time, or it's just hot and wet. We get a few good storms to lower humidity for a whole day or two, then it's back again. If it were just dry heat, I'd love it. But this has been one of the wettest, hottest humid summers ever.
I think that's why I am unbearably itchy all over my arms/legs. My friend's kids had the same thing, and their doctor said it was allergy to all the mold in the air. That's how bad it is.

A lot of people at work right now are sick as dogs, we're thinking it's because of the weather. It's not good to go in and out in and out constantly from A/C to insta-sweat.

I had it last Thursday.....scratchy sore throat which turned into a tickle the next day, fever, runny nose.....

This weather messed up my brakes in my car also. Not cool.

You are a sick, sick man. I hopped in the car at 4:30 to drop of a letter and go to the bank. I never left the car and had the a/c on full blast the whole time. I was dripping sweat by the time I got home.

Luckily, I think the highs in LA are like...78-ish. Perfect.

We have a local spring nearby where the water is 68 degrees year round. It's nice sometimes to just spend the day there in the chilly water. But unfortunately I can't bring the whole hole home with me and dump it in my backyard.

Wow! The water is so blue it looks like the tropics. It doesn't fit with the background.

I saw 114 heat index today for my area. Prediction for tomorrow is a 113 heat index with an actual high of 96. I had a drink in my car explode from the heat today...also, people are fighting over the shady spots at work. I have to wear gloves to operate my vehicle because the steering wheel is so hot. My car's AC laughs at me when I turn it on. Inside work, it's so hot that I've thrown up a few times.

The pool is like 99 degrees so no cool off there.

I am almost missing those freezing Florida days...*sigh* It has been a miserable couple of days.

High of low 90s with heat index flirting with 100.

The meterologists have put us in the "extremely uncomfortable" dark green shade of muggy in the comfort index area. No relief until Thursday, then supposedly it will be more comfortable until Saturday, when the humidity will once again be back with avengeance, and spark up some more storms and disturbances Saturday and Sunday. Yay, a wet and wet hot weekend. Ever since the end of June, we haven't been able to go more than a couple of days without humidty returning.

And let me just flip back to last summer when all I did was bitch about how it was too chilly and never stormed and we got screwed out of a summer. Now it's hotter than hell and we've had plenty of storms with plenty of damage.
