Default Octogenarian Pot smokers

First off, I used to smoke pot myself in college, so I'm not gonna pass judgement.

For the last week, I've been painting hallways/door frames & doors for a retirement home. The current floor I'm on has mostly sickly older people, a few with dementia, a few with cancer and other assorted diseases. Apparently, pot smoking is allowed, and I honestly don't have a problem with that, but when you're trapped in a hallway with no windows to open, nor doors because its almost freezing outside, and the pot smoke is so thick you can see a haze around a couple rooms, its HARD to keep your focus on cutting in the doors/walls!!!! I know its cold out but I wish they'd think about others. I had to do my painting in the evening, because all the people are out & about during the day (they have their own rooms, but there's a communal dining area, and a TV lounge) because they can NOT keep from touching the walls or handrails during the day, so I have to wait until they've all retired to their rooms for the night to do the majority of the painting. That's when they chose to light up. *cough*. I'm STILL light headed.

Wow, be careful going home. Your clothes probably smell like weed, you don't wanna get stopped by the cops. Can you ask them to refrain from smoking until you're done painting?

I kept air freshener spray handy LOL. The hallway is finished, thank goodness.

It seems to me that you'd be having as much problems from the paint in an unventilated area as from the smoke.

Of course, there is also this: Did you request that they refrain from smoking while you're working?

Air freshener (unless it's one of those odor-eating things) will only make you seem more guilty if you get pulled over.

^-.-^

Alas no, I never got a chance to *see* the guy, and he wouldn't answer his door when I knocked. At least that floor is done.
