Just got back from grocery shopping. At the Grocery Store of Awesome, some firefighters from one of the local fire departments were ringing bells for the Salvation Army.

Actually, no they weren't. One of their members built this really cool bell-ringing doohickey. It had lights on it and everything. It had a little motor that rotated a bar the bells were mounted on, so all the firemen had to do was stand around and look like firemen and collect donations.

I gave 'em a buck and took a picture of the doohickey. It was the least I could do. Plus I have so many singles on me right now some people might think I've taken up a second job on the sly.
