One to go at Sonic
I had a craving for a vanilla malt, so I stopped at Sonic. Right behind me a Police car pulls in. The officer goes over to the manager and I can't quite hear everything they are saying, but I do hear "... demanded that he go on break..."
Shortly after that, the officer comes out with an employee in handcuffs and puts him in the police car and drives off.
So I'm assuming there is a job opening!

He got arrested for demanding a break? Well, who knows what really happened. Also, I love malts and it really bugs me that people here refer to shakes as malts. It's not a malt unless it has malted milk in it.

There is what I am sure is an awesome story that we are missing out on there.

My guess is after he demanded he go on break, he somehow threatened the manager - who wasn't going to put up with that, and called the police.

Or he could have demanded to go on break to get a certain type of fix. Again, so many variables. Though it's still amusing in its base form. How many managers would love to be able to have employees that wanted breaks dragged away?

Most people get sonic food for carry out. Other people get sonic employees for carry out.

HA!
I'm right in waiting for my breaks! I don't want to get arrested for being demanding!
On a side note, I echo everyone's feelings. That manager needs a CS card.

Hello, Sonic? I would like a tall male brunette, for carryout. With a vanilla malt. Yep, I'll pay by credit card. Be there in a bit!
(Note: I have never ordered carryout, but I assume the conversation would go like this?)

at one place I worked many many years ago, the cops arrested a guy right in the middle of lunch rush. they came in, grabbed the manager, talked to him for a minute, then grabbed the guy they wanted, cuffed him, and perp walked him out of the store.
