These stories make it all worth while.
I talkd to a lady who wanted to adopt a couple of ferrets, she had ferreta a few years back and her adult daughter lived with her while she found an apartment and has ferrets and it reminded her of how much fun they were. So I set up a face to face interveiw, she passed with flying colors excpet she has a really big dog, a giant over 100 pound lab mix and that concerned me. She said the dog played with her daughters ferrets and never did any thing bad to them. I told her I'd have to see firt. So she came to my house picked out 2 ferrets and I took the ferrets over to her house, after the ferrets aquinted themselves she let the dog in, the dog approached them carefully, snuffled their butts and licked Napoleon (ferret) from head to tail, Napolean then broke into his war dance and the big dog just flopped over onto his side with a big doofy grin and his tongue lolling out. Later the dog went and got a squeak toy and dropped in in front of Josephine (other ferret) and she promptly stole it and hid it. So I was able to adopt out 2 of them that day
A man called up and said he wanted to adopt a couple of ferrets for him and his wife for Christmas, they had ferrets for years and their most recent one died 3 months ago of old age, he wanted it to be a surprised. After I interveiwed him, we set up a dat where they could come look at them. They showed up and she was blindfolded! I led them to the ferret room, she took one sniff and exclaimed "Oh my god! I know that smell! You didn't!" she tore off the blind fold saw the ferrets out playing and she squealed and clapped and threw herself down in the middle of them. She played with them for a couple of hours before she chose Gib and Sprite.
