I was supposed to pay my rent earlier this week. Surprise! Work I had done, and invoiced, had not been paid. It seems that the invoice should have been dated last year. This was quite a surprise, since I had been told that the invoice was okay, and I went through each day believing it.
So my landlady's pissed off again, and I can see why. What I don't need is to be lectured on how patient they've been (if you need to tell someone you've been patient, that person will never understand or respect it anyway). And the whole thing brings up the panic again. Logically, I know that nothing lasts forever, and that more money has to come in. Emotionally, I feel deep fear. And it brings back all those horrible, dark emotions.
There has just got to be a better way.
