  • Dawww, a deer!

    http://www.bellinghamherald.com/2012...cues-fawn.html

Local state patrol saves a baby deer. And there's a picture in the linky!

Thing is, from where the trooper picked up the deer to the sanctuary is about a 45 minute drive. It must have been weird to see a state patrol cruiser driving down the interstate with a deer in the back seat. You know someone saw it!

When Brown arrived at the scene just before 7 p.m., the other deer in the area stayed back, but the orphaned fawn ran up to him and wouldn't leave. It nuzzled against him and started "mewing," said Trooper Mark Francis.
Wow. Somehow, the fawn knew Trooper Brown would help it, and went up to him. Amazing.

Big kudos to Trooper Brown for his kindness towards animals.

Here's an updated post with more photos of the fawn in the rehab facility. Looks like it made a friend! http://blogs.bellinghamherald.com/di...ldlife-center/
