My favorite coworker quit and I'm so sad!
Every good person we get quits within 1 year. This gal was smart and motivated, and it just crushed her that management wouldn't pay her what she was worth. For someone with experience and a masters degree she was making 25K/year at our company. How ridick is that? The place she's gone on to has given her a 9K raise!
We've lost 2 other good people as well. They've all got better jobs now so I can't begrudge them that but I definitely feel all alone now. Liking coworkers can make the awful management somewhat more bearable. At the very least we could all have a good laugh about it.
Now it's just me and an overbearing, insecure micromanager.
