That's not the first time I've seen this phenomenon. When "Floor Mart" first moved into Canada (taking over a bunch of former "Q Mart" locations), I went there to see what was up. Couple days later, I needed to get a Ford van removed from the trunk of my car.
One thing damaged in the collision was the 6 volt screw-terminal battery for my emergency lantern, and I shopped around for one at a decent price. It turned out that "Floor Mart" was more expensive than both "Orange Apron" and "Canuckistan Rubber Donut". Couple days after that, the rental (my car was still in the shop) got rear-ended.
For some reason, it was a LONG time before I made a third trip to "Floor Mart".
