    Basically, there's been a counterfeit ring going on around Sydney....

    but it's not what you think it is.

    It's actually for, of all things, washing powder.

    Oh and they're idiots too: the genuine article does not have "made in China" written on the label.

    what brand?

    i ask because... i don't know about sydney, but here in the US, a few months ago I heard about a growing wave of crime that people didn't expect... Stealing Tide - to use it for barter or selling on the black market.

    so, i could see someone trying to score extra $ by trying to counterfeit some. well here, at least. in other countries... i don't know if this is happening anywhere else yet.

      The brand is Omo.

      I did double check, a seven litre container of the stuff goes for about $40 retail.

          Seven litres is quite a lot, so the price actually sounds about right.

          I wonder what they're using as a substitute though.
