  • Have an issue with cats climbing the tree?

    Well here's a solution!

(yeah, I don't buy it either. That cat is looking at it as if to judge if it can make it and the answer would be "yes")

I've never had a major problem with cats and trees. My dog on the other hand, eeesh.

You're right: that is definitely not an expression of "impressed" on the cat's face ... it is very much an expression of calculation (distance x leaping power = tree comes crashing down onto the floor).

Last time I got a live tree I had six cats and I thought I was going to have to nail it to the wall. Planned to get one this year but it didn't work out, alas.

I'll file that next to the squirrel proof bird feeder.

Everyone seems to have squirrel proof feeder. Most work as well as that "cat proof" tree.

The Yankee Flipper may have a chance, but my money is on the squirrels.

Just hang cat toys on the tree. Reverse psychology; they won't go near it.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

We don't have a problem with Holly trying to climb the tree, we have a problem with her trying to eat the tree.

We keep the current cat out of the christmas tree by hanging very noisy bells on the bottom branches. He does not like the noise they make one bit.
