  • Would You Eat a Worm for 6 Cents?

It's a running joke that if our bait customers actually eat a worm, and we see it, we'll consider it food and will cover their tax.

A customer was told it was 1 dollar for 50 of one of our ice season worm varieties. He gets up, and the total goes to 1.06 for tax. He gets pissed about tax.

He's given the joke: "If you eat it; it's tax free."

    SC: "Just one?"
    MJ: Yup.

Sc opens the tub, picks up a worm. Stares at it for a minute.

He decides to keep his dignity.

Clearly he never read "How to eat friend worms" when he was a kid.

Ice season worms are usually "spikes", AKA Fly Larvae .
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

I don't fish. I also don't ever have a problem paying sales tax on stuff.

That being said, I would probably eat a worm just for a dare. I'm a bit weird like that.

              Why am I not surprised?

I've jumped out of airplanes, bungee-jumped, bicycled in NYC and San Fran, and gone hunting with a baseball bat on the docks for a violent ex-boyfriend of a girl I was dating...why WOULD you be surprised?

                  I don't care for tax; it's there, it's there.
But I would totally eat it.
And all the friends I went with or most likely it'd be family, would all be grossed out at me and yell at me to get away.
And then I'd chase them around in attempt to give out kisses.
