  • Ow. Ow. Ow. Thanks a lot doc!

So yesterday I had my Implanon changed over from the old one to the new one. Now in the event of an emergency, the implant can be found in an x-ray instead of an ultrasound yay! (for those overseas, it's called Nexplanon, for those in Aussieland, it's called Implanon NXT)

The doc reassured me that I wouldn't wind up with any side effects from the changeover given that it was one out, one in.

WEll, guess who woke up with a splitting headache today, had massive mood swings yesterday and today and is now facing possible weight gain? (I wound up going from happy to sad to angry to sad to worried to sad to perky over the space of a few hours)

The "ow" part comes from the local. That stuff stings like crazy. Not to mention that I was shaking uncontrollably after about 10-15 minutes on the table. I'm itching a little today, but she said that it would be normal so that it can heal.
